This is a great starter kit for anyone who would like to start using hydroponics. Comes with everything that you need. Would definitely purchase again
First of all, I was impressed by the fast delivery. The seller is very helpful and generosity. I ordered white. then I asked to change it to black before shipping. The seller said ‘OK, black’ but The order sheet still remained white. I thought I will receive white however the good I received is black! The plastic finishing is clean, design is good, and it is easy to use. I'm very satisfied.
It feels a little small, but it works well and is a great product.
5-day delivery
I love these so much! I live in the desert and our soil is hard clay. We lined the garden area with weed block fabric and 2 inches of gravel - then I set up 3 of these wonderful gardens, lined again with a weed barrier fabric to hold the soil in place, then filled with dirt and mulch. My garden has been in place for 2 weeks and it is actually growing! I am so pleased! These were so easy to assemble and transport from the living room to the garden. The plastic film was a little time consuming to remove, but no big deal. There were plenty of parts to put them together and the rubber gasket for the top is a great idea! The metal is not too thin and does not appear flimsy at all. I am thrilled with this. Well worth the little extra these cost over others I found.
I was originally going to make my own beds out of untreated rough cut lumber (oak and ash) that I have laying around, but after researching I'd have to do that every 6-8 years...and the thought of tearing down the internal guts of my greenhouse just to start all over again was daunting, so I went with these. I am really glad I did! Not only did it save me a ton of time building and hauling heavy wood boxes around, but they will last 3-4 times longer.
Even if you are not handy at putting things together, this will be a breeze...but be prepared to take some time to get it done. It takes about an hour to peel the plastic protective sheets off the panels and then assemble it. I did the configuration of 4 side panels together, for an 8' long bed...but then realized I didn't account for the middle support post of my little greenhouse and this was too long. It was easy enough to undo the bolts and take off a side panel on each side, then reattach the end pieces. Since I bought two of these, and now have 4 extra side panels I went to the benehorti website and purchased the round 17" tall bed (basically just 4 corner pieces) and will add my side panels to that to make a 4.5' bed to add to my two 6' beds. Each 6' bed holds about .75 cu yards (yards, not feet!) of soil - so be prepared to buy a lot of bagged dirt (expensive!) or have some trucked in...either way it's a lot of lifting and dumping, or shoveling. In my opinion...well worth the effort.
I ordered these on a Tuesday and had them sitting on my front porch on Friday...fast shipping and an easy solution to my needs - it was everything I was looking for. I'd recommend these. You don't even have to have your own tools. They supply the little wrench, and even though the pics show you needing a screwdriver, you don't really. You can, but it's not necessary. I had one out but didn't use it. The bolt heads bump up against the inverted curve of the metal exterior and that provides enough resistance to just use the little wrench provided to tighten them down nicely.
Can't wait to get my round bed so I can get the last one put together and get to planting!
This painted galvanized garden bed is a marvel—everything about it is top quality. All pieces wrapped in plastic, great quality hardware, excellent instructions for various configurations—there’s even a strip of plastic to cover the top edge (even tho it’s not needed because the edge is not sharp, but it sure makes it look nice!)
These raised beds are such a terrific upgrade from my fabric grow bags. I did not have a huge amount of sunshine space due to my neighbors trees and the need for protecting crops from wildlife but I found a variety of sizes to fit the space I have. Assembly was easy! When taking the protective film off just take your time and be careful of the sharp corners. All the bolts washers and nuts were well packaged and if you separate everything into a muffin tin you won’t be chasing them all over the place. The included wrench has a nice L shape and good grip. While you are putting it together make sure to leave the rubber gasket in the sun to make it easier to install along the top edge. Also be consistent with your overlapping one panel to the next. I was very happy to have the center support rods included bc dirt will push out the middle When installing the gasket across the seams you need a small flat head screwdriver to open the gasket up a tad due to the double thickness of the aluminum but it’s not hard. These are deep raised beds so use that hugelkultur method of layering your branches sticks twigs leaves and dirt. Be prepared! I ordered bulk organic soil compost from my local supplier. It’s heavy moving dirt and definitely a work out! I set up drip irrigation and some string trellising to really up my game. A few months into it and it was all worth it. We’ve been eating everything we’ve grown… lettuce, snap peas, scallions, tomatoes, cucumbers, bush beans, several varieties of squashes and I have some ice box watermelons and cantaloupes coming along.
Putting it together took about an hour with 2 people. Pulling off the protective film from both sides took the most time. A power drill makes assembling the nuts much faster.
Seems solid. I expect it will last many years.
It came with a cross brace that prevents it from bowing out in the long configuration.
Shipping was on time/quick.
Great product. Can be taken
As a senior woman I was able to assemble this easily. It arrived very well packaged with all parts needed for assembly. I love the height, this is not a chinzy low "raised" bed. It is the 2nd one I've purchased. My 1st is a few years old and still looks new.
The materials are quality and well-made. The directions for putting the support bars and are lacking. But it was pretty easy to figure out. Overall, they are great! They look good and are doing what they’re supposed to.
They arrived in good condition, all the necessary parts were included, and it assembled cleanly. I haven't had it long enough to evaluate how durable it is, but they seem to be working well well as flower beds and an herb bed.
Great product. Can be taken
Always wanted to grow some healthy fruit and veg without having to use pesticides and with minimum effort. Researched a few of these hydroponics home kits and settled on BeneHorti. Happy I did. Great quality, good extendable height for the light as the produce grows, and holds 5l of water with a level indicator which is useful for monitoring as the seedlings grow into plants. Was very easy to set up and start growing plus the smartphone app is a nice addition for setting the lights and day/night schedule. It’s exciting to come home after work to check how your produce has grown all day🌱👍🏼
I love this set up. I would guess probably a five gallon aquarium size. I put a Beta fish in the bottom of this one with some gravel. It does push the fish around from the air but it doesn't seem to mind it. I followed directions and have the cloth over my bean sprouts and they are growing. I can't wait , then I have my lettuce, spinach and one cucumber growing on a paper towel to sprout. This is a lot of fun to do and can't wait to set up my 20 gallon aquarium to raise Tilapia in the bottom of that one and my lettuce on top. Fish grow up then we will eat those. Life is great!!! Then start over again with that process.
